Ginuwine to LisaRaye: “Turning Me Off Remix”
filed in music

Aww damn, y’all. Ginuwine does not like the drama that LisaRaye reportedly started about them mixing it up. He kills the jumpoff rumors and made a song about it:

According to my sources, Ginuwine has decided to set the record straight on a number of things; Golddiggers, Lisa Raye and the young pups (Chris Brown and Omarion) of the R&B realm.

In regards to Lisa Raye, here’s what my source revealed to me, “Rumor has it: Ginuwine found out it was Lisa who was instigating that story about the two of them getting together. As a matter of fact……they had a recent phone conversation where Lisa Raye called Ginuwine and asked him what he thought about the rumor. Ginuwine told Lisa that he was not pleased and that it caused a lot of drama for him at home. Lisa responded; Well that’s what this all about. So this is his way of him telling her to back up.”

So, Ginuwine made a remix to Keri Hilson’s “Turning Me Off” aimed at… well, you people can figure it out.

Ginuwine, Ira DeWitt making video for VH1?!
filed in site

THE REAL DEAL: R&B artist Ginuwine, who is signed to a contract with Ira DeWitt’s Notifi Music Group, was at Morton’s The Steakhouse in Clayton on Saturday night with DeWitt — wife of Bill DeWitt III, prez of the Cardinals — and mother of Natalie and Will DeWitt.

The duo was at the steakhouse with a video crew. They worked in the restaurant’s Board Room making a segment for a pilot for VH1 with the working title: “A Day in the Life of Ginuwine.”

Ginuwine was considered one of R&B’s pre-eminent love men during the ’90s heyday of hip-hop soul and he also does some acting and modeling. DeWitt launched Notifi last year and Ginuwine is the biggest name she has signed. DeWitt describes Notifi as an “urban-crossover” label. Oli, an R&B singer from Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Miss Be, a rapper-singer originally from Detroit; and Potzee, a local rapper, are also on Notifi. They all live in St. Louis.

Ginuwine visits Jamie Foxx’s “The Foxx Hole Show”!
filed in site

This week inside The Foxxhole, Bill Bellamy served as our guest host. Jamie Foxx is out promoting his new movie “The Soloist” which is currently in theatres. Also in the studio were the usual suspects; Claudia Jordan, TDP, Speedy, Lewis Dix, Johnny Mack and me, The Poetess. Ginuwine dropped by in the second hour to promote his new album “A Man’s Thoughts” that comes out June 23rd. He seemed shy and a little taken aback by how hard The Foxxhole goes but nonetheless, I think he had a good time. We found out that Ginuwine has some things in common with our show. Years ago, he dated our very own Claudia Jordan and currently has 8 kids like our very own Speedy!  Listen to interview G on Foxxhole Show. Read the full article »

Interview: Ginuwine – Singer and Songwriter
filed in Ginuwine News

When Ginuwine made his grand appearance on the musical stage, the world was smitten by “Pony,” his provocative, Timbaland-assisted smash. And for more than a decade, Ginuwine’s adoring fans have watched him evolve through his private emotional battles, as he coped with the death of his parents (“Two Reasons I Cry”), transition from bachelorhood into the married life (“Differences”), and public life in the spotlight (“Same Ol’ G”).

Although he has five gold, platinum and multi-platinum albums to his credit, Ginuwine’s influence on contemporary R&B has been largely underrated. In fact, many of the genre’s younger artists have incorporated elements of his video performance into their acts — dancing, singing and serenading, all at one time.
