Ginuwine Signs With It Girl PR as he Prepares his Next Album Due Out Q1 2009

–Multi-platinum selling R & B sensation Ginuwine, has signed top entertainment PR firm, It Girl PR. Additionally Ginuwine has also signed with Notifi Records with distribution on Warner Bros. Music. The singer has previously released 5 platinum and multi platinum selling albums with his biggest songs including Pony, which reached 1 on the R& B Charts, Differences ( 4 on Hot 100 and 1 on R & B), In Those Jeans (3 on R &B) and So Anxious (2 on R & B.)

It Girl CEO, Juliette Harris discussed the public relations strategy, “Ginuwine currently has a fantastic reputation, huge fan base and the respect of his peers. The music industry has changed since he was topping the charts, even in just a couple of years, therefore we — as a team, need to bring interesting new music and innovative ways to reach listeners while motivating them to act in some desirable manner. We need promotions, touring, contests, ring tones and more. Ginuwine needs to bring us great music and It Girl needs to help him better reach his fans!”

Ira Dewitt, CEO of Notifi comments on the label signing Ginuwine, “Notifi Records is proud to be working with such a well respected artist and look forward to the creative direction this project is headed. Our current plans include having a single out this Sept./Oct. and an album released by quarter one of 2009. We are lining up top producers and tracks as we speak.”

Ginuwine has topped the charts from 1996-2005 and in 2006 also collaborated with Tyrese and Tank on various projects. Tank is executive producing this album and Ginuwine is in discussions with many of today’s top producers and artists for collaborations.

Ginuwine comments on his new team, “Juliette and Ira are showing me incredible support and I am ready to show the world my new sounds!”

Ginuwine brings R&B sound to Killeen
filed in Uncategorized

Even while he’s busy developing his new album in New York, R&B artist Ginuwine is making time for his fans in Central Texas. For all those who are “So Anxious” for his performance tonight at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center, he said that he’s not the “Same Ol G.”

From his 1996 single “Pony,” Ginuwine’s music career skyrocketed him to multi-platinum success. His sometimes overtly sexual lyrics are things of the past, said Ginuwine. He explained that the title of his new album “The New Beginning” speaks a lot about the changes not only in his music but also in his life.

“My new album is about a new start and a new direction in my life. I’m older now and wiser than I once was and I’m taking precaution in my lyrics,” Ginuwine said. “What’s changed about me is that in the past, I wasn’t as focused. I’m not trying to be as raunchy now and I’m trying to impact people with my music. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that we’re missing the substance in our music nowadays and I don’t want to contribute to the delinquency of kids. So I’m making sure that my new music is tasteful.”

Baby-making music is the common label for his past albums, but he said that he would rather categorize his new vibe as relationship music. Some producers he’s interested in collaborating with for his new grown-and-sexy direction are T-Pain, The Dream, Swizz Beatz, Jim Jones and Fat Joe.

“I want to work with people who want to see me win and make history,” Ginuwine said. “I’m focusing on trying to make the best comeback, like Mariah Carey. Her example showed me that it was possible to be out of the game as long as I have and still go platinum. And that’s my goal, to go platinum.”

Killeen is no New York, but Ginuwine said that his fans are everywhere and he is especially honored to perform for the country’s men and women in uniform.

“A lot of the other big artists are just about performing in the big cities, but I’m all about reaching out to everybody,” Ginuwine said. “I love America’s military and I appreciate their service. You never know what dangers this world can present nowadays and it’s only from the protection of these brave soldiers that Americans can live safely. I can only give much respect to them, give them a great show and I hope they enjoy themselves.”

The tentative date for Ginuwine’s album release is at the beginning of 2009.

Ginuwine Inks New Deal, Scraps TGT Project With Tyrese And Tank
filed in Uncategorized

R&B singer Ginuwine has inked a new recording contract this week with plans to issue his first new album since 2005′s “Back II Da Basics.” With this new deal, the singer also announced the shelving of TGT’s highly anticipated album.
After spending the last few years on various tours including a stint in Je’Caryous Johnson’s popular stage play “Men, Money and Golddiggers” Showiness says he is ready to get back to the studio with his sixth studio album. “I have been touring and working on various projects the last couple of years and pondering what I wanted my next moves to be. I didn’t want to rush into just doing what a label told me to do but rather take time to be creative and find music and projects that I have creative control over.”

Signing with Notifi Records, as announced earlier this week, Ginuwine has hit the studio with hopes to release the as-yet-untitled project early next year. “Notifi is giving me the support and creative freedom to record the sounds I think best represent me,” says Ginuwine.
